The Olympia FOR’s program airs on Thurston Community Television (TCTV), channel 22 for Thurston County’s cable TV subscribers. Each program airs EVERY Monday at 1:30 p.m. and EVERY Thursday at 9:00 p.m. for a full month. This creates many opportunities to watch each program.

DEC ’07: Terrorism and the Challenge of Asymmetrical War

After September 11, 2001, Bush launched what he called a “War on Terror.” The Olympia FOR’s December TCTV program powerfully challenges the bi-partisan assumption that Bush’s so-called “War on Terror” is the right way to deal with the world’s problems. June ’07: “Resisting the Militarization of Our Ports”

In May 2006 and in March and May of 2007, the ports in Olympia, Tacoma and Aberdeen, respectively, allowed ships to load military equipment and weapons for Iraq.
We all know that the war and years-long military occupation in Iraq violate U.S. law and international law in many ways. It violates the United Nations Charter, which prohibits starting aggressive wars.

On the one hand: It’s considered nice to express compassion for people who are down on their luck. Many people contribute to charities to relieve the suffering of severe poverty.
