Peace for the Earth Walk Presentation

Posted by Web Editor on December 12th, 2007

9:30 am

On November 1 Ruah Swennerfelt and Louis Cox began a 1,400-mile “Peace for Earth Walk” from Vancouver BC to San Diego, California. During these six months, they are talking with Quaker groups (Friends meetings and churches) about how in the 1700s Quaker John Woolman’s call to live in right relationship with all of Creation is as relevant in the 21st century as it was 250 years ago. Like Woolman, they are traveling on foot and, as much as possible, staying with Friends along the way. They will speak at 9:30 am at Olympic View Friends Church, 201 Browns Point Blvd NE, Tacoma.
